SkomorokhStage · Worked example
Check prop handoffs before a theatre show
A prop can be on the right table for one scene and the wrong table for the next. Follow each physical copy through the planned moves before printing the crew's instructions.

The Lost Letter uses two separate letter copies and one drink portion across five scenes. The free pack contains four plain-text Markdown files: START-HERE.md explains the contradiction, MASTER-FLOW.md lists all eleven actions, OPERATOR-SHEETS.md shows the crew's assigned moves, and SCENE-USE.md groups their identifiers by scene.

11 planned actions
B4 starts at the wrong table. You can use these static sheets as a paper discussion example without the app. The paid download includes the editor and editable example project files. Each physical copy keeps its own identity: LETTER-A cannot silently replace LETTER-B, and a consumed drink portion needs a new copy for another serving.
Find the exact place where the chain breaks
- Trace LETTER-B in the master flow. B1 picks it up at the stage-right table; B2 sets it down there.
- B3 resets that same copy to the stage-left table at intermission.
- The broken B4 line still starts at stage right. Its source disagrees with the preceding destination.
- In this fictional plan, the finale pickup is intended to happen at stage left. Correct B4's source to stage left. If your intended pickup were elsewhere, add the actual intervening move instead.
Keep the distinction between the plan and the real show. The checker compares the locations and holders you entered; it cannot know where a crew member actually placed the prop.

Make and revise the plan in the local editor
- Extract the complete paid ZIP and open app/index.html in desktop Chrome. Choose Open The Lost Letter.
- In action B4, change From place to Stage left table. Confirm that the red contradiction clears and inspect the preview.
- Choose Freeze clean issue. Beside that issue, use Open printable file to download a standalone HTML packet.
- Open the downloaded file in Chrome. Use Print / Save as PDF, select A4 or Letter and check every page.
- Save the editable project before closing the app. After a later change, freeze another issue and read its change list; the earlier issue keeps its original snapshot.
For your own show, choose Start blank. Enter scenes in running order, places, people and a distinct ID for every physical prop copy. Give each copy its initial location and holder. Add actions with explicit source, destination and responsible operator. A move described in a note does not replace the action needed to make the chain consistent.

Check the packet before giving it to the crew
- Every expected physical copy has its own ID and initial preset.
- Each action begins at that copy's preceding destination, with the intended holder.
- Master flow, operator sheets and scene sheets show matching action IDs and details.
- The initial preset and intermission reset are clearly distinguished.
- Consumed portions are not reused under the same physical-copy ID.
- A revised issue reports its changes while the earlier issue remains unchanged.
- The saved project reopens with its issue history, and every printed page is legible.
The crew receives matching sheets from one consistent planned prop flow. A later correction becomes a new issue with a change list.
SkomorokhStage is a local planning tool tested in desktop Chrome on Linux. It does not read scripts, track actor positions or confirm physical completion. Rehearse the plan against the real props, crew and production conditions.
