Task walkthrough · MeginLoad

Combine several job lists into one loading plan

Three jobs need protective pads, but the same drill can return between visits. Adding every quantity would treat those two situations alike. Start by deciding which requirements add together and which reusable tools can serve sequential tasks.

A Perunlight workflow for MeginLoad, our paid offline loading planner. Written with AI assistance and checked against the free fictional Maple project, an independent arithmetic calculation and the accepted app review in Chrome 152 on Linux. The example is invented; it is not a trade procedure or a record of physical work. Published .

Decide what can be reused between tasks

This workflow assumes one operator doing sequential tasks and bringing reusable equipment back between jobs. Consumables use SUM across task lines. Reusable tools use MAX: the largest requirement on any single task line.

If two tools are needed simultaneously, enter that combined requirement on one task line. Separate reusable lines use MAX, even within one job. Shared crews, tools left on site, battery capacity and stock depletion are outside this model. You supply and review the requirements.

Check the three fictional Maple visits

  1. Extract the free ZIP and open examples/README.md.
  2. Inspect examples/maple-session.json and examples/items.csv. DRILL and BIT are reusable; PAD is consumable.
  3. Compare the jobs with the requirements below. The first two visits each need one drill and one bit; the final visit needs two drills.
  4. Calculate each required total before opening examples/expected-results.json.
Item Rule Cabinet Furniture Bench Required
DRILL MAX 1 1 2 2
BIT MAX 1 1 0 1
PAD SUM 4 6 2 12

Expected requirements: 2 drills, 1 driver bit and 12 protective pads. The pads add to 12; the sequential drill requirement is 2.

With the paid app, open MeginLoad.html beside its app folder in Chrome on Linux. Choose Try fictional example, then Review & export. Expand the pad contributions to see the three task lines. The source JSON starts unchecked; sample packet checkmarks are fictional demonstration state.

Separate what is required from what is available

The example starts with 1 drill, 1 bit and 3 pads in the vehicle. Storage holds 1 drill, 0 bits and 5 pads. Subtract the vehicle count from the requirement, stopping at zero. Load as much of that shortfall as storage can supply; the remainder is the obtain quantity.

Item Required Vehicle Storage Load Obtain
DRILL 2 1 1 1 0
BIT 1 1 0 0 0
PAD 12 3 5 5 4

For pads, 12 − 3 leaves a shortfall of 9. Storage can supply 5, leaving 4 to obtain. Enter actual counts and choose Apply counts when using your own project. If either count is blank, the result remains unknown; blank does not mean zero.

Compare the saved packet with your calculation

  • Open examples/expected-results.json: DRILL should show 2 required, 1 load, 0 obtain; BIT 1/0/0; PAD 12/5/4.
  • Open examples/maple-packet.html locally. Match each consolidated row by its item ID, not its display order.
  • Check the obtain list: it contains four protective pads.
  • Read the job contributions and reusable return reminders. They describe the plan; they do not establish that anything was loaded or returned.
  • Inspect your own physical counts before marking your own project. The supplied sample marks describe only the fictional exercise.

For this walkthrough, an independent decimal calculation from the free project matched all three expected results and the corresponding HTML packet rows. Physical loading and printing were not performed.

In the paid app, download the printable HTML packet and open it in Chrome. For a paper copy or saved PDF, choose A4 or Letter, use default scale and disable browser headers and footers. The free pack includes a Chrome-generated A4 example; physical printer output has not been verified.

Remove one visit and calculate again

Remove Bench visit from Jobs to prepare. The drill requirement becomes 1 and the pad requirement becomes 10; the bit requirement stays 1. With the same vehicle and storage counts, pads now need 5 loaded and 2 obtained. No additional drill needs loading.

A changed item, quantity or contributing task clears affected physical marks. Reinspect those items even when a total happens to stay the same. Undo clears physical marks too. A reopened project can retain matching historical marks; use New session from library for a new trip so jobs, counts and marks start clear.

Build a small library for your own work

Start blank, enter stable item IDs and units, then create personal task recipes. Insert a recipe copy into a job and adjust that copy to the visit. Later recipe edits do not rewrite earlier job copies. Give simultaneous reusable requirements their own combined line.

Save project downloads the editable JSON; there is no autosave. Keep that file for revisions. Presentation CSV and printable packets are outputs, not project backups. Formula-like text is guarded with an apostrophe in presentation CSV; project JSON retains the original text.

MeginLoad 1.0.0 was verified in desktop Chrome 152 on Linux. Other operating systems, browsers and mobile field use are unverified. It supports up to 500 items, 100 recipes, 20 jobs and 2,000 job lines, with joint file and text limits. Read the complete setup guide for decimal rules, import bounds and the full scope before choosing it for your lists.
